PRESENTATION
The Kino D.DAY is a residency of international audiovisual creation, where a director goes, « Shoot, édit and screen » his film in short film format (8 / 15mn), on « the landing of Normandy and its events in a culture of peace perspective « , in 10 days. (see KINO D-DAY 2014)

OBJECTIVES of Kino D.day
– To perpetuate the historical memory through the mediation of the younger generation.
– Diversify the looks focused on the event by the presence of foreign directors. (USA, UK, CND, GER, FR, POL, CZ, UK, BEL, ITA, HOL, ESP, ISR …)
– Promote the sharing of the values of peace and freedom.
– Ton encourage young film creation.
– Promote a feminine look.
– Creation, all digital.
– Valorization of local heritage.
– Create a current, dynamic and educational event.
– Give an international dimension to the city of Caen.
– To offer the Normand and tourist public an innovative and transgenerational show.
In the context of the following public policies:
– Memory, history
– Women’s rights and equality
– Popular education
– Heritage
– Attractiveness of the territory
– Community life
Collaborative shooting. As part of the order of the scenario, the day of collaborative filming where the public Caennais is brought to participate or to attend, will take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 10h to 18h00 in the castle of Caen.
Spectacular shooting. All locations, excluding the castle, of the 5 films will be communicated through the press and accessible to the viewer.
Valorization of local professionals. All the technical and artistic teams are from the territory.
